39 IPS officers from different state cadres have been empanelled as ADG or ADG equivalent at the centre. The Modi government has cleared the empanellment.
As per an order, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the empanellment of the Indian Police Service officers for holding posts at the Centre.
Of the 39 officers in the list, four belong to the 1994 batch and one each belongs to the 1991 and 1993 batch. Thirty three officers from 1995 batch are on the list. Except for three from the batch (ADG equivalent), 30 officers from 1995 batch were empanelled for holding ADG or ADG equivalent posts at the Centre.
