IPS officer Anand Jain, the current Director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), has been appointed as the next Inspector General (IG) of the Jammu Region by the Jammu and Kashmir government. He will take over for Additional Director General (ADG) Mukesh Singh (IPS: 1997: AGMUT), who was recently appointed as the Inspector General (IG) of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on a deputation basis, according to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on September 19.
The decision issued by the government states: “Consequent to the above, Anand Jain, a 1999 batch IPS officer who currently heads the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in J&K, is hereby transferred and appointed as the Inspector General of Police for the Jammu Zone with immediate effect.”
Furthermore, Anand Jain will continue to lead the ACB until further notice.
