On April 25th, the government of Gujarat mandated the transfer of as many as 12 IPS officers across the state. The transferred IPS officers are as follows:
Mr. Gagandeep Gambhir (2004 batch) was made the inspector general of police (administration), Gandhinagar, while Mr. Raghvendra Vatra (2005 batch) was asked to take charge as the joint commissioner of police in the crime branch of Surat city. Both of them had previously served in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on central deputation till 2023 and were awaiting their new postings.
Mr. Neeraj Kumar Badgujar (2008 batch), the incumbent additional commissioner of police in the Ahmedabad city crime branch, was made additional commissioner of police, Sector-1, Ahmedabad city, replacing Mr. Chirag Koradia (2006 batch), who was transferred as Border Range IG.
Mr. Sharad Singhal (2006 batch) replaced Officer Badgujar as the joint commissioner of police by upgrading the post of additional commissioner of police, Ahmedabad.
Mr. Chaitanya Mandlik (2001 batch) was made the Superintendent of Police of CID, Anti-Radicalisation Cell. Dr. Lavina Sinha (2017 batch), who had served as DCP, Zone-1, Ahmedabad city, was made DCP of Cybercrime in Ahmedabad city.
Mr. Ajit Rajian (2015 batch) was made DCP crime branch, while Mr. Himanshu Kumar Verma (2018 batch) became DCP, Zone-1, Ahmedabad city.
