Haryana government on Thursday accepted voluntary retirement of senior woman IPS officer Bharti Arora from the police services. She was currently posted as the inspector general of police (IGP), Ambala range. Sources says that the senior IPS officer had sought VRS for spiritual reasons.
According to reports, State chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar cleared the files regarding Bharti Arora’s plea for the VRS.
IPS officer will be relieved by the end of this month. She held the charge of IGP for nearly seven months.
The 1998-batch IPS officer has sought her relieve from the service as per Section 16(2) of the All India Service (DCRB) Rules after attaining 50 years of age.
It is worth remember to our readers that her previous request made by her in July this year for the VRS was turned down by the state.
