In a recent order, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) appointed Ms. Llakkiya Karunagaran, an IPS officer from the 2012 batch, as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) at the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). The appointment was immediately sanctioned for 5 years on a deputation basis or until further notice, whichever comes first.
