IPS officer Pravin Madhukar has been appointed as Joint Director of CBI for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge, according to a government notification issued on 3 November.
The order read, “The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Department of Personnel & Training for induction of Shri Pravin Madhukar Pawar, IPS (KTR:2003) to the post of Joint Director, CBI, for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.”
