In a recent move, 1989 batch Jharkhand cadre IPS officer, Mr. Ajay Bhatnagar, was mandated to assume office as the Director General (Investigation) of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
Mr. Bhatnagar had previously held the coveted designation of the Special Director at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
