A 1992 batch IPS officer Idashisha Nongrang will be the acting director general of police (DGP), Meghalaya. She is currently serving as the special DG of Meghalaya police.
Senior IPS Idashisha Nongrang will discharge duties of Meghalaya DGP, until a full-fledged DGP is appointed, an official notification stated. Her appointment came in view of the retirement of the incumbent Director General of Police (DGP) R Chandranathan.
