1997 batch IPS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, Mr. Solomon Yash Kumar Minz, has got a two-year extension in his deputation tenure.
He is currently serving as the Inspector General (IG) of the Border Security Force (BSF).
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on 21.11.2023, stating that the
Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has granted approval to extend Mr. Minz’s deputation tenure beyond January 6, 2024, up to January 6, 2026. This extension is in relaxation of the IPS Tenure Policy.
