A major speculation has broken out regarding IPS Vivek Gogia’s abrupt repatriation to his home cadre (AGMUT). Mr. Gogia, a 1991-batch IPS officer, had been serving as the Director of the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) when the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the sudden proposal by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to repatriate him to his parent cadre.

Senior IPS Gogia’s repatriation comes against the backdrop of speculations that he might be considered for a very important assignment in Delhi in the coming days.
