The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the proposal from the Ministry of Home Affairs for the appointments of three 1993-batch IPS officers at the Special DG level IPS Vin the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
The names of the officers are:
- IPS Praveer Ranjan (AGMUT cadre), last posted as the Additional Director General (DG) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has been appointed as Special Director General (DG), CISF on an in-situ basis for two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- IPS Vitul Kumar (Uttar Pradesh cadre), last posted as the Additional Director General (ADG) in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), has been appointed as Special Director General, CRPF till the date of his superannuation on 31st August 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- IPS R Prasad Meena (Assam & Meghalaya cadre), previously posted as the Additional Director General (ADG) of Border Security Force (BSF), has been appointed as Special Director General in BSF till the date of his superannuation on 31st July 2025, or until further orders, whichever ends earlier.
