In a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the police department in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath led state government has transferred and posted 18 IPS officers, including SPs of 11 districts on late Thursday night, 4 Jan, 2022.
2000 batch IPS officer and Kanpur Range IG, Mr. Prashant Kumar, has been made IG in Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Lucknow.
2007 batch IPS officer and Jhansi Range DIG, Mr. Jogendra Kumar, has been made IG of Kanpur Range.
While, Varanasi DIG Mr. Akhilesh Kumar Chaurasia, an IPS officer of 2009 batch, has been sent to Anti-Corruption Organisation.
2010 batch IPS officer and Aligarh SSP, Mr. Kalanidhi Naithani, has been made DIG of Jhansi range.
