On February 28th, the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh transferred as many as six IPS officers ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. The transferees include officials of SP rank, including the police captain of two districts.
Mr. Anup Kumar Singh (2014 batch IPS), incumbent as the SP of Technical Services, got transferred as the SP of Amethi, replacing Mr. Elamaran G (2016 batch IPS), who got transferred as the SP of Mau. Mr. Avinash Pandey (2015 batch IPS) became the new SP of Pilibhit, replacing Mr. Atul Sharma II (2016 batch IPS), who became the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Agra Commissionerate. Mr. Ravi Kumar (2015 batch IPS), who was the DCP in Agra Commissionerate, became the Commander of 11 Battalion PAC Sitapur while Ms. Sunita Singh (2011 batch IPS), incumbent as an officer posted in CB-CID, was made the Commander of 37th Battalion PAC Kanpur.
