Dehradun: In a significant reshuffle of the state’s police administration, the Uttarakhand government has transferred 15 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, assigning them new responsibilities across key departments. The transfer orders were issued by the Home Department, and the list was released by the state’s Principal Secretary, Shailesh Bagauli, an IAS officer of 2002 batch.
The move is part of the government’s effort to strengthen administrative efficiency and redistribute responsibilities among senior police officers.
Key Appointments and Changes
2013 batch IPS officer Tripti Bhatt has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Home and Prisons Department, and also assigned the role of SP, Fire Service.
2005 batch IPS Neeru Garg, previously in the PAC, has been assigned as IG, Fire Service.
IPS Arun Mohan Joshi, an IPS officer of 2006 batch, takes charge of IG, CID, while Krishna Kumar VK will focus solely on Police Telecommunications, having been relieved of CID responsibilities.
IPS Karan Singh Nagnyal (SPSSH-2005) is now IG, Prisons, and IPS Mukhtar Mohsin has been assigned IG, GRP.
2013 batch IPS Yogendra Singh Rawat has been appointed IG, Personnel and Headquarters, while IPS Sunil Kumar Meena has been removed from GRP responsibilities.
DIG Nivedita Kukreti, 2008 batch IPS officer, has been assigned responsibility of SDRF, previously handling Fire Service.
