IPS officer of 1999 batch, Mr. Vipul Kumar, presently posted as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) in the Department of Recruitment in Bengaluru, is to assume office as the Inspector General (IG) of the Central Police Reserved Force (CRPF) on central deputation.
Officer Kumar shall hold his new charge for a tenure of five years, while Officer Manish Kharbikar (1998 batch IPS) succeeds him as the new ADGP, Recruitment. Mr. Kharbikar will also hold the additional charge of ADGP, Economic Offences, CID.
Mr. Labhu Ram (2004 batch IPS officer), the incumbent Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Intelligence, will assume charge as the IGP of Vigilance in the Department of Water Resource, Bengaluru.
