2008 batch IPS officer Arul Kumar of Himachal Pradesh cadre has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for a period of five years.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday, the competent authority has approved the appointment of IAS Arul Kumar to the post for a period of five years on deputation basis from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
