IPS officer Balaji Srivastava IPS has been given of Apex pay scale that means he will get Level-17 in the pay matrix with immediate effect. An officer 1988 batch of AGMUT cadre Mr. Srivastava is presently Director General, Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D).
He has previously worked as the DGP of Puducherry and Mizoram and special commissioner, Intelligence, Economic Offence Wing and Special Cell, Delhi. Mr. Srivastava was also special commissioner (Vigilance) of the Delhi Police and served as the commissioner of Delhi Police.
