A major bureaucratic reshuffle took place in Mumbai where senior IPS officer Hemant Nagrale got appointed as the new Commissioner of Mumbai Police on 17 March 2021. Nagrale replaces the incumbent Mumbai CP Param Bir Singh who has now been posted as DG Home Guard.
Lately Mumbai Police is also under huge pressure due to the recovery of an explosives-laden SUV near industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s house and the arrest of city police officer Sachin Waze by NIA over its probe.
