IPS officer Uma has been hifted to Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D) as Deputy Director. A 2007 batch officer of Kerala cadre Ms. UM was currently serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG), National Investigation Agency (NIA). “The competent authority has approved the appointment of Ms. Uma as Deputy Director, BPR&D on a lateral shift basis from the date of joining the post and up to 26.11.2024 i.e. her balance deputation tenure or till further orders, whichever is earlier, said the order issued by Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday (27.06.2022).
