IPS officer Princee Rani has been appointed as DIG, National Security Guard. NSG, also known as Black Cats, is a counter-terrorism unit under Ministry of Home Affairs. Ms. Rani, who is an IPS officer of 2005 batch and Tripura cadre, will be serving in NSG for a period of five years. Her appointment order was issued by the MHA on Jan 12 2024.
Earlier, she served as DIG (Traffic), Inspector General of Police (Admn.) in Tripura. She also served as DIG (Police Headquarters) and DIG, Crime in the state.
