New Delhi: Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has officially appointed Manoj Kumar Sharma as Director (Catering Services) on a regular basis, effective from September 22, 2025. This appointment follows the Railway Board’s directive dated September 19, 2025, marking a significant addition to the IRCTC leadership team.
Experienced Officer Joins IRCTC Leadership
Manoj Kumar Sharma, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer from the 1995 batch, brings a wealth of experience to the role. Prior to his appointment, Sharma has been serving as Group General Manager of IRCTC’s North Zone since March 2024. Over his 28-year tenure with Indian Railways, Sharma has gained extensive expertise across various domains including marketing, business development, operations, transportation, vigilance, safety, IT, and project development.
Diverse Railway Zone Experience
Throughout his career, Sharma has contributed to multiple railway zones, namely Northern Railway, Northeast Frontier Railway, North Eastern Railway, and South East Central Railway. This diverse experience has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of railway operations and service delivery, making him well-suited to oversee IRCTC’s catering services.
Compliance and Governance
IRCTC has confirmed that Manoj Kumar Sharma is free from any regulatory restrictions and has not been debarred from holding the office of director by any authority. Additionally, Sharma holds no shares in the company and is not related to any of IRCTC’s directors or key managerial personnel, ensuring transparency and adherence to corporate governance norms.
