Mr Sakkeer Hussain, a senior professor at the National Academy of Indian Railways (NAIR) and an officer of the Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS), has been selected for deputation as the Chief General Manager (Human Resource Management) at IRCON International Ltd’s Corporate Office in New Delhi.
The appointment is for a three-year term, marking a significant leadership transition in the HR division of the prominent public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways.
IRCON International Ltd, formerly known as Indian Railway Construction Company Limited, is a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, renowned for its expertise in engineering, construction, and infrastructure development. The company has executed landmark projects in India and abroad, particularly in the domains of railways, highways, bridges, tunnels, and electrification.
Mr Hussain brings with him a wealth of experience in personnel management, training, and policy implementation within the Indian Railways. His deputation to IRCON, a major engineering and construction company specializing in transport infrastructure, is expected to bolster its human resource strategies at a time of expanding international and domestic operations.
