Recently, the Union Government mandated Mr. Harinder Bir Singh Gill (1987-batch IRS-IT officer), an incumbent Member (TPS & R) at CBDT, to take up additional charge as a Member (Systems & FS) at the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and Zonal charge of Kerala & Tamil Nadu, replacing Mr. Sanjai Kumar Verma (1988-batch IRS-IT officer), who retired on June 30th, 2024.
The order from the Union Government also stated that the CBDT Chairman, Mr. Ravi Agrawal (1988-batch IRS-IT officer), shall continue to hold the position of Member (Administration) until further notice. Notably, Officer Agrawal was a Member (Administration) before being elevated to the top post.
