New Delhi/Mumbai: In a recent administrative move, IRS officer Manoj Kumar, currently serving as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of CVO at the Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA) for a period of six months. This appointment underscores the confidence of the authorities in Manoj Kumar’s expertise in vigilance, taxation, and governance.

Strong Academic and Professional Background

Manoj Kumar, an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 2003 batch, holds a Master’s degree in Politics specializing in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and an LL.B. degree from Mumbai University. Enhancing his credentials, he has completed prestigious courses such as Inclusive Growth-Fiscal Policy from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Applied Corporate Finance from Cambridge University.

Wide-Ranging Experience in Governance and Security

Implications of the Additional Charge

By assigning Manoj Kumar the additional charge of CVO at Mumbai Port Authority, the government aims to strengthen vigilance oversight at one of India’s busiest and most strategically significant ports.
