The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Rashmita Jha, an officer of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) batch of 1997, as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of NTPC Limited.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on April 23, Rashmita Jha has been appointed as the CVO of NTPC for an initial period of three years from the date of assuming charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. In her new role, Rashmita Jha will replace Virendra Kumar Adhana, the outgoing CVO of NTPC.
