The Ministry of Finance has recently orchestrated a major bureaucratic reshuffle by issuing transfer and posting orders for officers in the grade of Principal Commissioner of Income Tax/Principal Director of Income Tax. The list includes the transfer of 124 officers — of which, 86 were assigned additional charges.

Six IRS (Income Tax) Officers Promoted To Chief Commissioner Rank:
As many as six senior officers from the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) were on Friday (30.08.2024) promoted to the grade of Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCIT), which corresponds to level 16 in the pay matrix. The ITS transferees are:
- Mr. Satish Kumar Goyal;
- Mr. P Selvaganesh;
- Mr. Prafulla Kumar Mishra;
- Mr. Gopal Krushna Dhall;
- Mr. Rajesh Kumar Gupta;
- Mr. Pratap Singh.
The said officers shall continue to hold the charge of the post, which they were holding before promotion, till their formal posting is ordered.
