The Ministry of Railways has announced the appointment of 2011 batch IRTS officer Jatin Chopra as Director, Establishment (Sports) at the Railway Board and Additional Secretary of the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB).
Mr Chopra will fill the vacant JAG/IRTS position previously held by Northern Railway.
Chopra’s new role marks a significant shift from his previous position as Private Secretary to Union Minister Mansukh Mandavia in the previous Modi administration. Before this, he was the Director of Movements in the Department of Fertilizers, where he managed critical logistics and distribution tasks.
In his new capacities, Chopra will oversee the establishment of sports-related initiatives and promotions within the railway sector, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing sports development and management.
