Patna: Renowned lyricist, poet, and screenwriter Javed Akhtar visited the Bapu Tower Museum on Tuesday, praising its modern exhibits and the vibrant portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals. He described the museum as “the most influential Gandhi museum in the world.”
Upon arrival, the museum director, Vinay Kumar, welcomed Akhtar with a ceremonial bouquet, shawl, and memento, and provided a detailed briefing on the museum’s history, objectives, and key exhibits.
Akhtar Impressed by Museum’s Modern and Interactive Display
During his tour, Akhtar explored the museum’s galleries featuring ramps, historical photographs, murals, audio-visual presentations, and short films.
He said the museum offered a profound insight into Gandhi’s life, principles, and the Indian freedom struggle.
“I have traveled around the world and visited numerous famous museums, but I have never seen such a vivid, modern, and impactful museum dedicated to Gandhi’s memories and ideals. Bapu Tower is truly special. Visiting here was a privilege, and I learned many new things about Gandhi Ji. I will definitely return,” he remarked.

Built by the Building Construction Department in Patna’s Gandhinagar area, the Bapu Tower Museum brings Gandhi’s legacy to life through advanced technology, including:

The museum showcases Gandhi’s life journey, principles, and his connection with Bihar in an interactive and educational manner.
