The Hemant Soren government celebrated the first anniversary of its second term on November 28th with a state-level event at Morabadi Grounds. Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren addressed the public and distributed appointment letters for government jobs to thousands of young men and women, marking a significant milestone in Jharkhand’s developmental journey.

Thousands of Youth Receive Government Job Appointment Letters
On this historic occasion, approximately 8,792 candidates received appointment letters, including 8,291 assistant professors. Mr. Soren personally handed over letters to several beneficiaries, symbolizing the government’s commitment to youth empowerment. The appointments are expected to benefit nearly 50,000 family members, highlighting the wider socio-economic impact.
Women Empowerment Highlighted in Key Government Appointments
The Chief Minister emphasized that 40 percent of Assistant Professors appointed are women, while 30 percent of officers selected through the JPSC Civil Services Examination are also women. Many of these candidates utilized the Mainiya Samman Yojana, a government initiative providing funds for competitive exam preparation, reflecting the administration’s focus on empowering women in education and governance.
Government Overcomes Opposition Hurdles to Deliver on Promises
Mr. Soren pointed out that despite continuous obstruction and 50 questions raised by the opposition regarding appointments, the government prioritized youth employment. “The opposition attempted to prevent the youth from standing on their own feet and contributing to Jharkhand’s development,” he stated. Nevertheless, providing jobs and opportunities to the state’s youth has remained a central goal.
Education, Health, and Infrastructure Witness Rapid Development
Under the government’s leadership, Jharkhand has seen rapid progress in infrastructure, education, and healthcare. In the past year, 80 schools of excellence, ten degree colleges, eight nursing colleges, six medical colleges, and several engineering colleges have been established. These initiatives are designed to enhance quality education and promote skilled workforce development.
Chief Minister Urges New Officials to Inspire Future Generations
Mr. Soren encouraged newly appointed officials and teachers to mentor at least one young person in each district, fostering inspiration and ambition among Jharkhand’s youth. He emphasized that even small acts of guidance can motivate the next generation of teachers and public servants.
Special Appointments for Families of Martyrs and Police Personnel
In a significant move, 22 dependents of police personnel who died in Naxalite encounters or other circumstances were also granted appointment letters, including seven child constables and 15 general constables. Overall, 84 dependents have been appointed to strengthen social justice and recognition for the families of fallen heroes.

Posting on social media, Chief Minister Mr. Soren congratulated the people of Jharkhand, stating that the government has worked tirelessly to fulfill promises, empower women, strengthen social security, and promote employment opportunities. He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to transforming Jharkhand into a developed and prosperous state.
