Jharkhand: Minor IAS Reshuffle Ahead Of Polls, Manjunath Bhajantri Made DC, Ranchi

With the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha elections knocking at the door, the government has mandated a minor bureaucratic reshuffle by transferring several IAS officers. Mr. Manjunath Bhajantri has been appointed the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Ranchi. Mr. Utkarsh Gupta (2017 batch), last posted as the Director of Information Technology, has been made DC of Latehar. The Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Official Language has issued a notification in this regard. This is the complete list of transfers.

IAS Manjunath Bhajantri Made DC, Ranchi:

Mr. Manjunath Bhajantri, a 2011-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi replacing IAS Rahul Kumar Sinha (2011 batch). IAS Manjunath Bhajantri has been transferred from the post of Chief Executive Officer of Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) and was given additional charge of MGNREGA commissioner. Now he has been given the command of Ranchi district.

IAS Shashi Prakash Singh Made Deputy Commissioner, Jamtara:

Six other IAS officers have been transfer-posted by the state government. IAS Pawan Kumar (2011 batch) has been made divisional commissioner in-charge of the North Chotanagpur division (Hazaribagh). IAS Ranjit Kumar Lal (2014 batch) has been appointed as Managing Director of Jharkhand Urja Utpadan Nigam Limited. Director of Primary Education, IAS Shashi Prakash Singh (2017 batch) has been made the new Deputy Commissioner of Jamtara. IAS Manish Kumar (2018 batch), last posted as DDC East Singhbhum, has been transferred and posted as DC of Pakur.
