Ranchi: Jharkhand’s PM Shree Schools are set to become exemplar institutions, guiding other schools in the district towards inclusive and high-quality education. The Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) has set a target to develop 144 schools across the state under the School Quality Assessment Framework (SQAF), with a focus on improving learning outcomes, teacher development, and infrastructure.
Two-Phase Development Plan
According to Project Officer Dr. Abhinav, the initiative will be implemented in two phases. The first phase will focus on 72 selected schools, where development work will be completed over the next six months. The second phase will cover the remaining 72 schools, ensuring all targeted institutions meet high standards of educational quality.
“These schools are being prepared to serve as hubs of inclusive and quality education, setting benchmarks for other schools in the region,” Dr. Abhinav said.
Mentoring Hubs to Guide Other Schools
The selected PM Shree Schools will also function as mentoring hubs, offering guidance to nearby schools on modern teaching methods. These hubs will focus on:
- Continuous teacher and student training programs
- Project-based learning initiatives
- Improved infrastructure and facilities
- Student-teacher exchange programs with other schools
The mentoring approach is designed to promote a collaborative learning environment and ensure best practices are shared widely across the district.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Regular monitoring will be conducted through Block Resource Persons (BRPs) and Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs). Key performance indicators will include:
- Student learning outcomes
- Teacher attendance and engagement
- Community participation
This structured monitoring mechanism will ensure that the development efforts translate into tangible improvements in teaching quality and student performance.
A Model for Statewide Education Excellence
With these initiatives, Jharkhand’s PM Shree Schools aim to become role models for other institutions, fostering inclusive, high-quality education throughout the state. The program represents a strategic effort to strengthen educational standards, empower teachers, and enhance student outcomes across Jharkhand.
