Justice Alok Aradhe Appointed Chief Justice of Bombay High Court

Justice Alok Aradhe, currently Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court by the Union government.

The Union government, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, issued a notification confirming the appointment of Justice Alok Aradhe, the current Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, as the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court.

The notification stated:
“In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to transfer Justice Alok Aradhe, Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, as the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court and to direct him to assume charge of the office.”
