Kabirdham, Chhattisgarh: Development is taking a new shape in Kabirdham district, as six villages in the Pandaria Assembly constituency are set to experience significant transformation. The state government has approved three major road projects with a combined investment of Rs 14.14 crore, aimed at improving rural connectivity and accelerating local economic activities.
These roads will be constructed under the PM Gram Sadak Yojana (Prime Minister’s Rural Road Scheme), ensuring that even remote villages get better access to markets, hospitals, and schools.
Road Projects to Transform Six Villages
The three approved projects in Pandaria are:
- Dengurjam to Amaniya Road – 3.20 km long, with a budget of Rs 5.79 crore.
- Bharatpur to Ghoghra Road – 3.50 km long, with a budget of Rs 6.12 crore.
- Mahli to Nanapuri Road – 3 km long, with a budget of Rs 2.23 crore.
These projects will connect villages to the main transport network, reducing travel time to urban centers and improving access for residents.

Boost to Rural Economy and Accessibility
Officials believe that these roads will enhance economic activity in the region by making it easier for villagers to transport goods and access services. Earlier, villagers relied on unpaved roads, facing difficulties reaching schools, hospitals, and markets.
With these new roads:
- Travel time to towns will reduce significantly
- Farmers and local traders can transport produce efficiently
- Access to health, education, and administrative services will improve
This initiative is a major step in the holistic development of rural Kabirdham.
Ongoing Infrastructure Development in Pandaria
The Pandaria constituency is witnessing multiple development initiatives simultaneously:
- 500 km of roads under construction
- Irrigation projects worth over Rs 300 crore
- Bridge and culvert construction underway
These initiatives collectively aim to enhance connectivity, agriculture, and overall rural infrastructure, ensuring long-term socio-economic growth in the region.
