ARJUN PANDIAN MOVES TO KASARAGOD
Arjun Pandian, a 2017-batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre, has been transferred from his post as District Collector of Thrissur and appointed as the new District Collector of Kasaragod. He replaces Inbasekar K, who has been shifted.
For Pandian, anganwadis are not merely administrative units but part of a deeply personal journey. His mother has served as an anganwadi worker for 26 years in the hilly Idukki district. Drawing from this connection, he spearheaded efforts in 2024 to revamp anganwadis in Thrissur, transforming several into vibrant community centres with improved infrastructure and libraries.
His work earned him the Best District Collector award under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme, instituted by the Women and Child Development Department earlier this month.
SIKHA SURENDRAN TAKES CHARGE IN THRISSUR
Sikha Surendran, a 2018-batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre, has been appointed as the new District Collector of Thrissur. A native of Ernakulam district, she is a Civil Engineering graduate from M.A. College of Engineering.
Before this posting, she served as Director of Tourism, where she handled key initiatives in promoting Kerala’s tourism sector. Over the years, she has held several important administrative roles, building a reputation for efficiency and field-level engagement.
With both officers bringing distinct experience and grassroots sensitivity to their new roles, the reshuffle is expected to strengthen district-level governance in the state.
