Kerala: Several IPS Officers Transferred, A Akbar Made IG (Crime), Ernakulam

The incumbent KPHCC managing director, IPS Jayanath J has been transferred and posted as DIG (protection of civil rights)

Amidst a recent development, the government of Kerala has mandated a minor IPS reshuffle in the state. Among the transferees are the state Transport commissioner, Kochi city police commissioner, and Malappuram SP, Mr. Sasidharan S.

IPS C Nagaraju (2003 batch), presently posted as IG (crimes) has been transferred and posted as transport commissioner, replacing IPS A Akbar (2005 batch), who has been transferred as IG (crimes) in Ernakulam. IPS S Syamsundar, last posted as Kochi’s Police Commissioner, has been transferred and posted as IG (south zone). Additionally, he will assume the full additional charge of the post of Managing Director of the Kerala Police Housing and Construction Corporation (KPHCC).

The incumbent KPHCC managing director, IPS Jayanath J has been transferred and posted as DIG (protection of civil rights) while DIG (anti-terrorist squad), IPS Putta Vimaladitya, has been transferred and posted as DIG and Commissioner of Police of Kochi city. Officer Vimaladitya will also hold the full additional charge of the post of DIG (anti-terrorist squad). DIG (Thrissur range), IPS Thomson Jose will assume the full additional charge of the post of DIG (Ernakulam Range).

IPS Hari Sankar, the incumbent SP (cyber operations) will also hold full additional charge of the post of AIG (personnel). IPS Himendranath, the incumbent SP (VACB Ernakulam) has been transferred and posted as SP (crimes, Kottayam). Malappuram SP, IPS Sasidharan has been transferred and posted as SP (VACB Ernakulam). Officer Viswanadh R will be the new Malappuram SP.
