New Delhi: The Government of India on Monday issued a series of notifications approving important bureaucratic appointments and tenure extensions, reflecting continuity and administrative consolidation across key departments and public sector authorities.
Kunal Kashyap’s Tenure as Commissioner (Housing), DDA Extended by Two Years
The tenure of Kunal Kashyap (IRS C&CE: 2008), Commissioner (Housing), Delhi Development Authority (DDA), has been extended for a period of two years, up to November 8, 2027.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the proposal from the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA) to extend his central deputation tenure beyond November 8, 2025, “up to November 8, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.”
Mr. Kashyap has been serving in the DDA since February 2024. Prior to this assignment, he served as Chief Assessor & Collector in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). He has been on central deputation since November 2020, contributing significantly to Delhi’s housing and urban development ecosystem.
M Angamuthu Gets Additional Charge of Visakhapatnam Port Authority
In another major administrative move, M. Angamuthu (IAS: 2002: AM), Chairperson, Mumbai Port Authority, has been entrusted with additional charge of the post of Chairperson (Joint Secretary level), Visakhapatnam Port Authority for a period of six months — from September 22, 2025, to March 21, 2026.
The appointment reflects the government’s emphasis on seamless coordination across major port authorities under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, ensuring sustained leadership continuity in maritime operations and logistics management.
IPS Officer Katarpu Sunil Emmanuel Empanelled as Joint Secretary at Centre
Meanwhile, Katarpu Sunil Emmanuel (IPS: 2003: UP) has been empanelled for holding the post of Joint Secretary or equivalent at the Centre.
The empanelment marks a significant step in the officer’s career progression and aligns with the government’s broader objective of strengthening senior-level leadership from the Indian Police Service in key central roles.
