PESB Opens Applications for BSNL Director (Consumer Mobility) Post; Deadline December 1, 2025

Public Enterprises Selection Board invites eligible candidates from public and private sectors to apply for BSNL’s key leadership role as Director (Consumer Mobility), set to fall vacant on August 1, 2026, after the retirement of incumbent Sandeep Govil.

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has invited applications for the post of Director (Consumer Mobility) at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). The official vacancy notification was issued on November 10, 2025, with the deadline for submission of applications set for December 1, 2025, through the PESB online portal.

The position will become vacant on August 1, 2026, following the superannuation of the current Director (Consumer Mobility), Mr. Sandeep Govil, who is due to retire on July 31, 2026. Mr. Govil has held the position since January 2023, contributing significantly to BSNL’s mobile services and consumer-focused initiatives.

Applications Open to Public and Private Sector Professionals

According to the notification, the Director (Consumer Mobility) is a key leadership role responsible for strategizing and driving BSNL’s mobile and broadband business segments. The PESB has invited eligible candidates from both public and private sector organizations to apply, encouraging a diverse pool of applicants with experience in telecommunications, marketing, and business management.

Role and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to formulate and execute business strategies to enhance BSNL’s consumer mobility operations, strengthen customer satisfaction, and expand the company’s market share amid increasing competition in the telecom sector.
