New Delhi: In a key administrative reshuffle, the Ministry of Education has announced that Ms. Nidhi Pandey (IIS: 1991) will be relieved from her duties as Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) upon completion of her tenure on July 26, 2025.
The Ministry has directed that charge of the post be handed over to Ms. Prachi Pandey (IA&AS: 2001), currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education.
Prachi Pandey to Take Additional Charge as Commissioner, KVS
As per the official order issued by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ms. Prachi Pandey will hold additional charge of the post of KVS Commissioner for an initial period of six months, starting July 27, 2025, or until a regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier.
The order, dated 25th July 2025, was issued by the KVS Section of the Ministry and signed from Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi.
About the Officials
Ms. Nidhi Pandey is an officer of the Indian Information Service (IIS), 1991 batch, and has served as the Commissioner of KVS, overseeing one of the largest networks of central schools in India, aimed at delivering quality education to children of government employees and others across the country.
Ms. Prachi Pandey is from the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS), 2001 batch, and brings a strong background in public finance, auditing, and governance. She currently serves as Joint Secretary in the same department and is expected to provide continuity and administrative oversight during the transition period.
