Leh: In a minor administrative reshuffle, the Union Territory Administration of Ladakh has ordered the transfer and posting of three Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, effective immediately.
New Postings Announced
According to an official order issued by the Home Department:
- Shruti Arora, a 2018-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, who was serving as Superintendent of Police (SP), Leh, has been transferred and posted to Police Headquarters, UT Ladakh.
- Shree Ram R, a 2019-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, presently serving as SP Kargil, has been transferred and posted as SP Leh.
- Nitin Yadav, a 2021-batch IPS officer, who was functioning as Additional SP Kargil, has been promoted and posted as SP Kargil.
Streamlining Police Administration
Officials said the reshuffle is aimed at strengthening the administrative efficiency and ensuring smooth coordination between the Leh and Kargil districts. The officers are expected to assume their new roles in the coming days.
This marks the first significant police-level reshuffle in Ladakh in recent months, reflecting the administration’s ongoing efforts to enhance policing and public service delivery across the Union Territory.
