Leadership Update: PESB Recommends Rajesh P.S. Sisodia for Director Role at NLC India- Know more About Him

PESB recommends Rajesh P.S. Sisodia for Director (Planning & Projects) at NLC India after interviewing top candidates from key PSUs.

New Delhi: In a significant leadership decision, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Mr. Rajesh Pratap Singh Sisodia for the post of Director (Planning & Projects) at NLC India Limited, a premier Schedule ‘A’ PSU under the Ministry of Coal.

Selection Finalized After Competitive Interview Process

The recommendation came during the PESB meeting held on July 22, 2025, following an intensive selection process. The board interviewed 12 senior professionals from key public sector enterprises, including:

  • NLC India Limited
  • BHEL
  • Engineers India Limited (EIL)
  • Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC)
  • NTPC Limited
  • NHPC Limited

Mr. Sisodia Brings Decades of Strategic and Project Expertise

Currently, Mr. Sisodia serves as Executive Director (New and Renewable Business Group) at BHEL. He has played a pivotal role in renewable energy expansion, strategic planning, and large-scale project management during his tenure. His strong leadership record made him the top choice for the role.

Top Contenders Considered for the Role

The PESB evaluated notable candidates including:

  • Mr. Jagadish Chandra Mazumdar
  • Mr. Jasper Rose I.S.
  • Mr. Santhosh C S
  • Mr. B. Anbuchelvan

After careful assessment of their experience and leadership capabilities, the board unanimously recommended Mr. Sisodia for the position.

Role and Responsibilities Ahead at NLC India

As Director (Planning & Projects), Mr. Sisodia will be responsible for:

  • Driving strategic project planning and execution
  • Supporting NLC India’s energy transition and infrastructure goals
  • Overseeing timelines, budgets, and delivery of major public sector projects, including in the renewable energy domain

His appointment is expected to significantly enhance NLC India’s operational efficiency and long-term vision as a key player in India’s power sector.
