Bhopal: In yet another late-night administrative reshuffle, the Madhya Pradesh government has transferred several senior IAS officers and State Police Service officials, signaling ongoing efforts to streamline governance and administration across departments.

The reshuffle, approved late on Tuesday night, includes significant changes at the top bureaucratic level, including key postings in the Public Works Department, Election Commission, Revenue Board, and across the Lokayukta and Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) network.

Major IAS Transfers: Key Departments Reassigned

Sukhveer Singh, an IAS officer of 1997 batch: Relieved from the Election Commission, he has been appointed as Principal Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD). His appointment comes as Neeraj Mandloi, the Additional Chief Secretary, is relieved of his additional charge.

Sanjeev Kumar Jha, an IAS officer of 1996 batch: Currently serving as Member, Revenue Board, Gwalior, Jha has been appointed as the Chief Electoral Officer of Madhya Pradesh, replacing Sukhveer Singh.

With his appointment, Umakant Umrao, Principal Secretary, Minerals, is relieved of additional charge of the Labor Department.

Vivek Kumar Porwal, an IAS officer of 2000 batch: Principal Secretary, Revenue, will now also hold additional charge of Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Department.

Top-Level Police Reshuffle: 10 Officers Transferred

The reshuffle also extended to officers of the State Police Service, particularly those serving in the Lokayukta and Economic Offenses Wing (EOW). The changes impact critical investigative units in Jabalpur, Ujjain, Gwalior, Bhopal, and Rewa.

Transfer List Highlights-

Sources indicate that plans for these transfers had been under consideration for some time, with a larger reshuffle reportedly on the cards. While only a limited number of officers have been reassigned for now, the changes suggest incremental restructuring may continue in the coming weeks.

On June 27, the Madhya Pradesh Home Department had already issued transfer orders for 39 State Police Service officers, setting the tone for this week’s reshuffle.
