Proposal for Football Excellence Centre and Spanish Coaching in Madhya Pradesh
During discussions with LaLiga officials and technical directors, Dr. Yadav proposed the establishment of a Football Excellence Centre, upgrading of sports infrastructure, and the launch of a Spanish coaching-based youth training programme in Madhya Pradesh under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
Dr. Yadav stressed that this partnership should not be limited to sports alone but should also contribute to employment generation, social engagement, international branding, and cultural tourism in the state.
Branding Madhya Pradesh in LaLiga Matches
Dr. Yadav suggested that LaLiga could serve as a platform to promote Madhya Pradesh’s cultural richness, heritage sites, wildlife, and tourism among audiences in Europe through branding during LaLiga matches, both digitally and on-ground. This, he said, would help attract foreign investment in sectors like sports tourism, media broadcasting, fitness, and sports tech.
Pitch to Global Investors for Industrial Growth
Highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s pro-business environment, Dr. Yadav presented the state’s 18 sector-specific industrial policies and initiatives like the ‘Start Your Business in 30 Days’ scheme. He invited global investors associated with LaLiga to explore the state as a strategic investment destination.
“Madhya Pradesh is no longer just a leading destination within India—it is becoming a trusted global partner,” he said.
Recognizing LaLiga’s Role in India’s Sports Ecosystem
Dr. Yadav acknowledged LaLiga’s significant role in India, especially through initiatives like LaLiga Football Schools, which focus on youth skill development, community engagement, and talent identification. He noted that this collaboration could transform sports into a catalyst for social transformation in Madhya Pradesh.
A Promising Future: LaLiga and Madhya Pradesh as Strategic Partners
LaLiga, Spain’s premier football league, is recognized globally not only for its athletic excellence but also for its role in youth training, brand collaboration, and international outreach. Its deepening engagement with India now opens new possibilities for a dynamic and emerging state like Madhya Pradesh.
Dr. Yadav’s visit has been well received in Spain’s political, business, and sports circles, being seen as a forward-thinking effort to integrate global sports networks with state-level development and cultural diplomacy.
Football to Shape the Future of Madhya Pradesh
Speaking at LaLiga headquarters in Madrid, Dr. Yadav credited Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi for fostering a national environment that nurtures sports and elevates young talent to the global stage.
“Sports today are not just competitions—they represent identity, career, and global recognition for the youth of India,” he stated.
He noted that with central support, Madhya Pradesh is developing sports infrastructure across the state—from Shahdol to Bhopal—and that football is receiving special attention. When Prime Minister Mr. Modi once referred to a village in Shahdol as the ‘football capital’ of India, Dr. Yadav said, it was a recognition of the country’s untapped grassroots potential.
Commitment to Global Competitions and World-Class Training
Dr. Yadav reaffirmed the state government’s resolve to provide modern training facilities, international exposure, and access to global tournaments for athletes. Learning from countries like Spain, the state is working on technical partnerships, training centers, and international exchange opportunities.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Yadav also shared that his meetings in Spain included discussions beyond sports, covering industrial investment and cross-sector collaboration.
“With Football, the Future Will Be Forged”
Dr. Yadav concluded that sports like football are not just about physical health—they are about shaping the future. By positioning Madhya Pradesh as a rising force in sports, he said, the state is taking bold steps toward youth development, international recognition, and inclusive growth.
