Madhya Pradesh Govt Promotes 82 IAS Officers, P Narhari Elevated to Principle Secy Rank

The Madhya Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, has released a New Year promotion list for 82 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers from the 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2016 batches, granting them benefits of increased pay scales. This decision was finalized in a departmental meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, a 1989-batch IAS officer, with the promotions effective from January 1, 2025.

Key highlights of the promotion list include:

  • Principal Secretary Promotions: Two IAS officers from the 2001 batch, Dr. Navneet Mohan Kothari and P. Narhari, have been elevated from Secretary to Principal Secretary.
  • Secretary Promotions: Sixteen officers from the 2009 batch have been promoted from Additional Secretary to Secretary.
  • Additional Secretary Promotions: Twenty-nine officers from the 2011 batch have advanced from Deputy Secretary to Additional Secretary in the upper grade pay scale.
  • Junior Administrative Grade: Twenty-six officers from the 2016 batch have been granted this grade.
  • Senior Time Pay Scale: Nine officers from the 2021 batch have been promoted to this scale.

Notably, the promotion list includes 13 district collectors, reflecting the government’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding administrative excellence across various levels.
