Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav lauded the achievement of Madhya Pradesh districts in the 6th National Water Awards 2024, saying, “The announcement of Khargone district as the First Prize winner in the Best District category for the Western Region and Kaveshwar Panchayat in Khandwa district as a joint Second Prize winner in the Best Gram Panchayat category is highly commendable. Heartfelt congratulations to all local citizens, elected representatives, and officials for this remarkable achievement.”

In a proud moment for the state, Madhya Pradesh districts have made a mark in the 6th National Water Awards 2024, announced by the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti. The awards recognize exemplary initiatives in water conservation, management, and community participation across India.

Khargone District Tops in Western Region

For the Western Region, Khargone district has been honored with the First Prize in the Best District category, reflecting its outstanding efforts in sustainable water management and local resource development. The recognition highlights Khargone’s innovative initiatives to improve water availability and conservation at the district level.
