Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is set to receive a major boost in the semiconductor and high-technology manufacturing sector as Paras Defence and Space Technologies Private Limited plans to establish a semiconductor project in the state with an estimated investment of around ₹6,200 crore.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav assured investors of complete government support and invited industries to invest openly in the state. He said the government would provide all possible assistance to ensure smooth establishment and operation of industries.
The announcement came during a meeting between the Chief Minister and officials of Paras Defence and Space Technologies at the Chief Minister’s chamber in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly.
MoU Signed Between Madhya Pradesh Government and Paras Defence
In the presence of CM Mohan Yadav, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was exchanged between the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Madhya Pradesh, and Paras Defence and Space Technologies Private Limited.
The company was represented by its Managing Director Manjul Sharad Shah and other senior officials.
The company informed the Chief Minister about its plans to establish a semiconductor project in Madhya Pradesh, which will strengthen the state’s position in the emerging high-tech manufacturing sector.

Semiconductor Project to Create 2,500 Direct Employment Opportunities
According to company representatives, the proposed project will involve an initial investment of approximately ₹6,200 crore.
The semiconductor facility is expected to generate:
- Around 2,500 direct employment opportunities
- Growth opportunities in advanced manufacturing
- Increased investment in the technology sector
- Development of a semiconductor ecosystem in Madhya Pradesh
The company has already identified land for the project and will soon submit a proposal for land allocation.
Madhya Pradesh Semiconductor Policy Attracts Investors
Principal Secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Raghvendra Kumar Singh, informed that Paras Defence has shown interest in Madhya Pradesh’s semiconductor policy.
The state government believes that the proposed project will provide significant momentum to:
- Semiconductor manufacturing
- High-technology industries
- Industrial development
- Employment generation
- Investment growth
Senior officials including Principal Secretary, Science and Technology M. Selvendram, and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Limited Chandramouli Shukla were present during the meeting.
Paras Defence Plans World-Class OSAT Facility in Madhya Pradesh
According to AKVN Managing Director Chandramouli Shukla, Paras Defence and Space Technologies is planning to establish a world-class OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) facility in Madhya Pradesh.
The company requires around 50 acres of land for setting up the semiconductor manufacturing unit.
The regional office of MPIDC, Ujjain, has identified suitable land in Phase-2 of DMIC Vikram Udyogpuri Limited. Company representatives inspected the site and have initially selected the location as suitable for the proposed project.
