Mumbai: Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), one of India’s leading City Gas Distribution (CGD) companies, has launched a user-friendly service allowing domestic customers to submit PNG (Piped Natural Gas) meter readings via WhatsApp. The initiative is designed to ensure timely and accurate billing while making the process more convenient for consumers.
How It Works
Domestic customers can now respond to a request from MGL’s official WhatsApp account by sending a photograph of their PNG meter showing:
- Meter reading (8 digits)
- Meter number
This submission helps generate accurate monthly bills and reduces the need for physical meter reading visits.
Multiple Submission Options
In addition to WhatsApp, MGL continues to offer multiple channels for meter reading submission:
- MGL Connect App – Upload a meter photo
- SMS – Send <Meter Reading> to 9223555557
- Email – Send meter photo and reading to [email protected]
- Website – Log in to www.mahanagargas.com and enter reading
- Customer Care – Call (022) 6867 4500 or (022) 6156 4500
