In a significant administrative overhaul, Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has announced the transfer and posting of over 30 IAS officers. This strategic move aims to address vacancies in critical sectors including health, education, revenue, and excise. The changes follow a meeting of the National Civil Services Authority (NCCSA), chaired by Delhi Chief Minister Atishi.
The NCCSA meeting, which had been delayed for several months due to various reasons—including the six-month imprisonment of former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal—has now paved the way for these important appointments. The announcement also coincides with the Union Ministry of Home Affairs transferring several IAS officers from the Arunachal, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre.
Among the notable transfers, YVVJ Rajasekhar, Delhi’s special secretary for vigilance and involved in several investigations related to the city’s excise policy, has been reassigned to Arunachal Pradesh. RN Sharma, previously commissioner of labor and education director, is moving to Jammu and Kashmir.
