Karnataka: 13 IAS Officers Transferred in Major Reshuffle, Zehera Naseem Appointed Regional Commissioner, Kalaburagi Division

Bengaluru: In a significant administrative shake-up, the Karnataka government has transferred and posted 13 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, leading to notable changes across departments and districts. This reshuffle, announced on Monday, July 8, 2025, includes the appointment of new Deputy Commissioners for Vijayapura and Yadgir districts, signaling a strategic move to strengthen local governance.

Key Changes in District Administration

Two districts – Vijayapura and Yadgir – have seen new Deputy Commissioners take charge-

Dr. Anandh K (IAS:2016:KN) has been appointed the Deputy Commissioner of Vijayapura, replacing Bhoobalan T, who has now been posted as Chief Executive Officer at the Centre for e-Governance in Bengaluru.

Bhoyar Harshal Narayanrao (IAS:2016:KN), who was serving as Director at the Atal Jana Snehi Kendra in Bengaluru, is the new Deputy Commissioner of Yadgir, taking over from Dr. Susheela B, now appointed as Managing Director of the Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC), Kalaburagi.

High-Level Administrative Transfers

Several senior IAS officers have also been reassigned to pivotal roles-

Zehera Naseem (IAS:2013:KN), formerly MD of Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation, has been posted as Regional Commissioner, Kalaburagi Division.

Pandve Rahul Tukaram (IAS:2016:KN) has been transferred to the role of Additional Commissioner for Public Instruction, Kalaburagi, while his earlier position as CEO, Zilla Panchayat, Raichur, is now held by Iswar Kumar Kandoo (IAS:2018:KN).

Dr. Dileesh Sasi (IAS:2017:KN) moves from the Centre for e-Governance to take over as CEO, Zilla Panchayat, Uttara Kannada, replacing Iswar Kumar Kandoo.

Shashidhar Kurera (IAS:2018:KN) has been posted as Joint Managing Director, Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC), Bengaluru.

Akash S (IAS:2019:KN), who previously served as Additional Commissioner for Public Instruction, Kalaburagi, is now CEO, Zilla Panchayat, Bagalkot.

New Appointments Among Junior Officers

Among newer IAS officers-

Aparna Ramesh (IAS:2021:KN), earlier awaiting a posting, has been named Director, Electronic Delivery of Citizen Services (EDCS) under the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms. She also holds additional charge as Deputy Project Director, HRMS 2.0 in the Finance Department.

Narwade Vinayak Karbhari (IAS:2021:KN) moves from Madikeri to become CEO, Zilla Panchayat, Dakshina Kannada, Mangaluru.

Yatish R (IAS:2021:KN), previously Director at EDCS, has been posted as CEO, Zilla Panchayat, Bengaluru Urban.
