New Delhi: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, thirteen officers in the grade of Principal Commissioner and Commissioner of Customs and Indirect Taxes have been given new postings. The transfer order marks a wide reallocation of responsibilities across key wings of Customs, GST, and central directorates.
Key Postings Across Major Centers
K. M. Ravichandran has been posted to Tiruchirappalli GST & CX, while Prem Verma has been appointed as Principal Commissioner (RA), Delhi. Manish Chandra has been moved to Air Cargo Import, Mumbai Customs-III.
Among other changes, Suraksha Katiyar has been transferred to Agra GST & CX and Dipak Kumar Gupta has been posted to Delhi Customs (Preventive). N. J. Kumaresh will now serve in Hyderabad GST & CX.
Strengthening DG-Level Directorates
Smita Dolas has been posted to the Directorate General of Valuation, Mumbai. Rahul Ramesh Nangare has been appointed as Commissioner of Customs (Adjudication), Delhi, while Pankaj Haribhau Bodkhe has been moved to the Directorate General of Human Resource Development (HRM-II), Delhi.
Samriti Goel Saran has been transferred to the Directorate General of Performance Management (DGPM), Headquarters, Delhi. Bharat Prakash has been posted to Tiruchirappalli Customs (Preventive).
New Roles in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad
In the technology and vigilance wings, Sahil Inamdar has been assigned to the Directorate General of Systems, Bengaluru. Amit Gupta will now serve in the Directorate General of Vigilance, Ahmedabad.
Administrative Reallocation
The reshuffle is aimed at optimising departmental efficiency by distributing experienced officers across high-priority regions and directorates. Such transfers are part of regular cadre management in Customs and Indirect Taxes to balance expertise, field requirements, and administrative needs.
