Senior IAS officer Manisha Saxena was appointed Establishment Officer & Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved her appointment to this key position. Saxena is currently serving as Additional Secretary, DoPT. She replaces Deepti Umashankar (IAS:1993:HY), now Secretary to the President of India.
This assignment is of critical importance, as the Establishment Officer also serves as Secretary to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
